The CDC Biofilm Reactor® (CBR) is BioSurface Technologies’ best-selling product. Created in conjunction with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, this reactor allows for repeatable biofilm growth across all 24 samples per experiment.

The Treatment Imaging Flow Cell was designed to be used as a tool alongside the CDC Biofilm Reactor®. Allowing microscopy during treatment of single coupons at a time, this flow cell is a valuable addition to our biofilm products.

The Drip Flow Biofilm Reactor® (DFR) offers completely isolated channels which allows for varied conditions per channel as well as side-by-side replicates. This reactor is offered in three different materials and either 4 or 6 channels.

The Biofilm Annular Reactor (BAR) was the first biofilm reactor developed by BioSurface Technologies, and has been around for almost 30 years. This reactor recreates conditions found in large-diameter piped systems, and can be continuously operated for months, or even years, at a time.

The Rotating Disk Reactor (RDR) was an early biofilm reactor, designed to create shear across the surface of it’s 6 coupons. While this reactor has mostly been replaced by the CDC Biofilm Reactor®, it still has it’s place as an ASTM standard method reactor.

These Coupon Evaluation Flow Cells come in a variety of configurations including: for upright or inverted microscope stages, single or dual channel, polycarbonate or aluminum channels, and several coupon options to choose from. We offer many different coupon materials, making the Coupon Evaluation Flow Cell a very versitile option for biofilm microscopy.

These Transmission Flow Cells come in a variety of configurations including: for upright or inverted microscope stages, single or dual channel, and polycarbonate or aluminum channels. Using glass coverslips and slides as the primary substrate, these are an important tool for biofilm microscopy.

Our Capillary Flow Cells are offered with either 1mm or 3mm inner diameter glass cappilary tubes. These tubes are fully reusable and offer a unique option for biofilm microscopy.
